Non Altrincham FC Talk / Re: Burning CDs advice required.
« on: February 26, 2007, 06:29:25 PM »
Its not the CD's have used two seperate packs, its happened each time though, twice from Itunes and once when copying a CD using Roxio. Looks like the CD drive? God knows but its bloody annoying.

If I load files from CD to Itunes though they come out fine. Puzzled?

Thanks for taking the time to reply though.

Whenever I burn an audio CD I get a really irritating click every 10 seconds or so, like scratched vinyl. Anyone any idea what causes this and if there is a remedy?

A legend indeed, to play through a career threatening injury like that for the cause is humbling to consider. Best wishes fella wherever you go and whatever you do.

I honestly can't believe how Burton are allowed to do this, why in the name of sanity can't they get their own stewards like everyone else does. Its hardly like United and City playing at home on the same day is it?

Without wishing to turn this into some kind of dodgy cross-dressing thread I believe a lot of this sort of stuff is almost fashion related, players wearing tights, gloves etc. Ten years or so back it was cycling shorts. Then there was the t shirt under the shirt with the silly slogan.

How often though as a contrary thought do you see keepers in trackie bottoms these days? Hmmm.

I believe we have some flexibility on the line of segregation which can include part of the popular side too so I can't see a problem.

Thanks to the fortunes of fate where my godforsaken job has me on 24 hour call every 6 weeks, I'm missing the Weymouth trip as did I Oxford. The golden rule seems to be I can go to places like Grays, Gravesend, Dagenham, Crawley etc no bother but nowhere decent for a day out. Missed York, Exeter twice. My next trip is likely to be Dagenham. Crawley was surprisingly ok Saturday, found some decent boozers even if there was a fight at 6:30 in one involving some woman getting a nut fom another one! The regulars seemed to find it nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm sure you keep a much tidier house!

So ok Fckd up on the quote thing. Meant to say superbly lucid post Mr Gazelle, certainly after such a marathon session. Just so jealous that I wasn't there, after all work and family etc...........its been 7 years FFS.....should've gone.......should've taken the day off.

Such girlie talk harv only 7 hours previous imbibing. we actually acheived 8 3/4. plus a rather contentious pint at the start of the match.
Last memory a very large pernod and a mysterious call to some random female in Africa at 3.00am, she didnt understand the importance of the last minute equaliser. All in all a super day out and i feel a complete over reaction about violent scenes it was both sets of fans doing what boys do. northwich stewards (I stress not ours) had been on  somesort of jobs worth training at which they had been taught to speak in a manner only becoming of a doctors receptionist with a complete humour by pass.
i really could not believe it when it took five of them and a police officer to " arrest" and (push up against a wall )a 13 year old child for the bottle throwing offence. We did try to help the young child but we would have missed last orders and after all what was he doing hanging around the away end anyway plus he will only grow up to vics fan.
So here is to staying up and another adventure up the saltmines next season

I think it's a valid question, there are probably a proportionate number of black afro caribbean players now but very few move on into management. If you drop down the leagues especially where I live in London a few are evident but the ratio diminishes. I have no idea why this might be, perhaps its due to different life choices or ambitions but an uneasy feeling I have makes me look at the old blazer wearing duffers (bigots) on many club boards.

We're still waiting for the influx of indian/pakistani origin players too despite our population.

No i'm at home in London. Too tricky to get 220 miles north at 6pm for 7 45. I assume the salt mines are more benevolent?
