He probably asked "is this the fans' choice of team or did you pick?"

I went to see Supertramp on 30th November 1975 at the Palace in Manchester. Joan Armatrading was the support act.

"Before the first goal we were on top, there was only one team in it"

B*ll*cks.

"I was told to stay in the changing room but I left the ground and watched the game through some railings"

Funny. If only he'd known he could have sat on top of the phone box.

The church you can see on the top of the hill from the Lymm roundabout is St. Mary's in Bowdon, and St. Margaret's strictly speaking is in Dunham Massey (if only just).

I'd love someone to explain to me when defending in numbers became against the rules of football.

Don't worry. They are going to have a good few years to get used to it.

if that guy had read through his own notes before writing his introduction he'd have come up with a different one. he clearly records that altrincham had every bit as much of the game as (if not more than) mansfield.

And if you liked that one you'll love this.

Lee Elam was effective on both sides of the pitch, and even at both ends. If there'd been any fitness issues before there clearly aren't now. I just wonder if he could have had that free a role if Chris Denham had been playing as well. In one awesome move Elam, from a position on the left wing laid the ball off to someone around the front edge of the centre circle, thenm sprinted the full width of the pitch to take the return. Everyone worked their wotsits off last night and the performance was breathtaking.

The last biggest Conference crowd I was a part of was the just over 3000 at Kidderminster in 2000 (?), their promotion year. That did feel like being in a big crowd at a proper football match, and also a 1-1 scorline.

Interesting to see that only 1300 were at the equivalent game last Saturday.

Baldrick, the customer relations department deals with customer who say they are going to cancel, and they give you a retentions discount. Setanta comes free when you take the XL TV bundle. The times you get your free calls depends on whether you are on M, L or XL. You'd be getting an overall bundle discount of £10.50 on that package anyway so I'd have said that, depending on the package you're on, your retentions discount was more than £10. All in all sounds like you've negotiated a good deal.

Redhill, your package is M Tv (40 channels), M broadband (2 mb) and M telephone (free 01 and 02 calls weekends only). It's priced at £29 less £8 bundle discount and £1 e-billing discount, plus £8 (again a discounted price) for your Setanta.
