Massive credit to the travelling faithful, that was a hard watch on NLTV, with no banks which led to a formation change, we were exposed on our right, and they capitalised. Great to lead on a rare counter, and good finish. They pressed and lobbed balls into the area for fun, annoying that as dackers headed the ball down our player marking cardwell slipped and gave an open goal. Nor sure if Gould could have done better. The second, not enough pressure in midfield to prevent the run into box.

Second half we dd better and had a few half chances. We kept going. Slight glimmer there. I assume Regan had a knock, need him and players such as Banks, Amaluzor and Ethan back asap. Were still in a good position and with 3 home games coming up there's hope.

Club have a few, probably cover about 10% of pitch so pretty useless in my opinion.

Couldn't make the game last night as working until 6pm, streamed it, commentary from BBC on the stream was overall good and they were bemused as ourselves to the 5 changes. First half looked like a master stroke as we dominated but didn't get that all important second goal we deserved. I thought they would come at us, they changed shape and then errors from outfield players and keeper cost us. bemused why we changed shape and didn't freshen up keeping the shape that was creating opportunities. In the end lost by 1 goal in a game we had by the scruff of  the neck. Looking  to see a positive reaction on Saturday and get our play off push back on the rails. For me the keeper is the big dilemma, if Ross not fit then do we bring in Byrne. I now believe he deserves a chance.

Disagree, rotation should be feared. We don’t get the results when we rotate.

Full time players should be able to play Sat and Tues.

Need to give Hartlepool respect, like anyone else in this league.
I agree, rotation should only occur if absolutely necessary. Hopefully we have our best 11 out there.

I just looked through the gate at the pitch. remarkably little standing water. If the weather improves, game should be on I think.

Now all ticket for away fans - no ticket sales if full or beyond 2pm.

I'm probably being a bit slow here, but don't we face the prospect of ticketless Dale fans coming in our end?
Agree with this.

New contract extension. Excellent news this, Jake has been playing well this season thus far. Glad we have kept him on board.

Away on business…. How is the ground looking and what do any locals think about the chances of the game definitely being on tomorrow???
According to my app, 23mm of rain yesterday, 4mm till 8pm tonight and then nothing. It will take a miracle to get the game on tomorrow. Maybe if a midday inspection the volunteers and temp groundsman can pull it out the bag. odds must be against that.

I'm sure the club is doing the due diligence and looking at renovating and a new ground. Interesting to see what the upshot will be.

In the meantime, the pitch either via warranty or paid for remedial work needs the drainage improving. It can be done, I remember when PSV had the drainage upgraded for the Olympic training venue. The grass pitch was always playable even in a monsoon. The ones next to it reminded us of the difference's as they swam in surface water.. Not sure how much it cost, but shows it can be done.

Barring injuries, I would have thought same team as started on Saturday at Solihull.

Lads have good impetus and need to bring it into this game. Would expect a 3,000 plus crowd if weather improves on the day.

When the new pitch/drainage was laid a few seasons back we were told it could drain around 25mm of rain in 24 hours. Yesterday looking at a local weather station we had 8.4mm of rain. Clearly there is an issue with the drainage in my opinion. Sods law made it rain before the match yesterday, frustrating as we could have played on it Saturday, Sunday and Monday as little rain.

We need a solution so as not to scupper our chances of making the play offs.

I'm sure the club are looking at the issue and coming up with a solution but it would be good to know some of the plans they have in mind.

As I said previously, the drainage has huge issues again. Just 8mm of rain today and off. Not good enough. Hope it can be resolved in the summer.

Frustrating for all parties.
