Aldershot ideally need a win, draw minimum to stave off Southend and close down on Halifax somewhat. If this aides Southend not making play offs then I'm for that.

« on: April 17, 2024, 09:19:12 AM »Bromley and Barnet both in with a chance of 2nd still after last night. Gateshead v Bromley should be a tasty game.
If Bromley fail to collect at least a point from this evening's visit to Oxford City, there is still a chance that Gateshead could finish third on goal difference.
Gateshead host Bromley on Saturday.

If Halifax pick up 3 points tonight then that is the play off places confirmed, just the final order to be resolved. To keep momentum we need to win on Saturday and then see where that places us. Home tie next Tuesday/Wednesday would be awesome. If we make the semi's then either of Barnet/Bromley will be tough, but we know that. Seems we have had better results at Barnet in the past, so maybe that's the route and on grass. Either way lets get past Saturday first and see whom we have at home. One game at a time now. COYR

The only decision to make at this stage is the right wing berth, but I think all of our available options can do a job there so I'm not too precious about it.

Home tie would be fantastic.I see Gateshead beating Aldershot as critical to us simply because it rubber stamps our participation in the play offs. Our last two matches determine our position in the play off pecking order.
Surely we've got to want to push for a home game? - whether we like it or not, other results elsewhere will play a part in that - starting tomorrow at Solihull.

No easy games in this league and I'm sure that the club will be well prepared.
We should be looking for another victory on the road. Plastic pitch won't help but we have enough quality to secure the victory.
