Our home record should see a comfortable win.
Other fixtures see Boston v York and Spennymoor v Brackley so at least 2 of the teams that we care about are going to drop points on Saturday.

Nobody would want to play us in the playoffs if we get there - I just pray to God we don't end up away to Brackley or Boston which is looking like a strong possibility.
Was discussing those away possibilities last night. We really need to aim for 3rd. One less game and home advantage in the semi.
Actually, stop being a pessimist - we can catch York and claim 2nd. There are some big games coming up against teams in the top 8 - no reason to think that we can't win them all.

Ah well done, was watching the FA Cup on the BBC website and your score kept popping up.
We've gone from the team with ties against the troublesome non-league sides to the lowest ranked side left in the 5th Round and i reckon our chances against Arsenal at home £££
Are the promotion finals big money spinners for you?
In a way I was pleased to heroically lose to you in the 2nd round as heading to Fleetwood for a 0-2 defeat in front of 2k in the 3rd round would have been such a depressing experience.

Playoffs are probably a minor money spinner for the finalists. They're all one-off games, played at the home grounds of participating teams but with no TV coverage. Crowds are usually much better than corresponding league games, but with proceeds split between the participating teams.
You have 4th vs 7th and 5th vs 6th in the qualifiers, then 2nd vs 5th/6th and 3rd vs 4th/7th in the semis.
The final is then played at the ground of the highest ranked team.

I assume that's the last we've seen of Ceesay.
Wasn't he only due to be here until the end of Dec or Jan?

Just noticed on JL's site how bad our historic record is against teams from Telford, especially away.

Would be happy with a draw and hopefully Jordan can start another scoring run.

Ooh, that's a coincidence, SuperRobins11 started both the JJ and JH threads off.
And the account is now deleted. They've done their job.

I sat next to Jessica Ennis there once. At an athletics meeting just to be clear.

Did you watch any of the athletics?
I'm going to take a guess that he spent the afternoon telling her tales of Matlock away in 1974.

Interesting points Leeds, but why do you think the sponsors stand/lounge needs replacing?

Bummer, I can't listen to the Rush song at half-time now!
I’m sure that all the people who’ve had a wasted day travelling to Spennymoor will happily contribute to a fund to buy you a Spotify account.

That photo give no impression of the speed involved. JJ's sprinting into the 6 yard box to try and meet a cross coming in at some pace. It was more like Gazza's miss against Germany than the McGoona one you mention.

And you haven't half missed a lot of good football with your self-imposed exile.
It was offside anyway so thankfully didn’t matter.

Great stuff. Just make sure that Piers Morgan doesn’t find out.

If there's no segregation than the chequers end turnstiles should be open for all ?
If there’s no segregation then the chequers end turnstiles are often not used.

One of my pet peevs which seems to cause unnecessary delays is the turnstile operators handing out pointless entrance tickets after taking entrance money.  Is there some legal/league rule behind this?

Still gutted now. Is that injury time heartbreak in our previous three FA Cup games away at football league sides?

Part of me would have rather lost 6-0 at Portsmouth and just enjoyed the day out than go through it again. But that is being slightly unfair and would have meant the current players and management missing the chance to shine on the bigger stage which, after a performance like that, they throughly deserved.

Thankfully the fixture gods have been kind enough to serve up the leagues two remedial sides for the next two games. So any hangover from Saturday should be easy enough to shake off, and hopefully we can carry forward the good form of the past couple of months into the upcoming league fixtures.

I think its colchester and Pompey only but that's bad enough to be worried next time we reach the second round.Third time luckily hopefully.
And the 3-3 at Burton (I had to look this one up).

I wonder if Pompey will take as many to Fleetwood as we took to theirs?
Seeing as they took over 600 to Harrogate in the first round on a Monday night, I'd say so.
