We have been informed delivery will be 2nd August, so badges can be collected on August 3rd at York game.

All 3 of us will be at the Blackpool game so we'll be taking orders then too.

Will you not be stationed outside the ground like usual to prevent their access?  :-*

Thanks to all those that have purchased so far, demand has been sufficient to place a limited run of 50.

There are 24 remaining if you'd like one.

Alternatively, as the forum is blocking a PayPal link, DM me for details.

Some of you may have noticed a Twitter account called Kings of The Golf Road over the close season.

In essence, it's a collective banner under which three fans (myself Dec and Andrew) will be working on projects, ideas and fundraisers to improve areas that directly impact things that matter to fans, mainly match-day atmosphere. We're not a closed rank group, so where possible, we'd love feedback and ideas. (Unless it's Toff Apple suggesting a beach towel...)

To help fund projects and ideas to improve the club for fans, we'll be releasing modern merchandise and our first piece is here:

A  simple, well-made enamel badge. They're £5 each and limited to 50. You can order via debit card here (no PayPal needed):

Interesting to see another SK Kits club have engaged the services of a very high profile sports illustrater to design their kits which Ian has then printed (as he can print any pattern).

Begs the question why we've got for such a simple dull design for this years away kit.

In such a creative town and region I'd have thought we'd have been able to enlist a designer to create asomething a bit more unique.

Unless Ian can say otherwise...
1874 are fortunate to have a very high profile designer as a supporter who contacted the club and offered his services, something that otherwise would have cost £1000s. Personally, I’m really happy with our latest offering, which was designed with the help of the management and playing staff, and based on sales and comments at yesterday’s game, I’d suggest most supporters are too. I’m sorry Mr Hashtag dislikes the shirt, and feel free to offer your thoughts next time round.

The last time Andrew and I tried to work on a kit launch (we suggested launching it in the Market) you tweeted a photo haphazardly so I'm not sure how genuine your offer is in for looking for help. But despite that next away kit change, give me a message, and I'd be delighted to help source a kit designer.

As for Northwich, that's strange because Phil the artist tweeted he'd be asked to do it. Implying that he's not just asked to do it but the club had the proactivity  to ask an actual designer to create it.

Most football kit dsigners would happily create a football kit for free and wouldn't cost £1000s. FC United didn't pay C21 a penny. There are certain projects that mean more than money.

Our kit really shouldn't be about just sales. It's an opportunity (as if everything we do) to help raise the profile of our club and bring in more fans. I'm not saying Stevenage have gone it about the right way, but I reckon more kids IN stevenage might be looking at following a game or two now.

Perhaps we could re-ignite the plans for the museum in the Noel White Suite in honour of that period.

Did Noel gain the positions he did with Liverpool and England off the back of his success or experience with us?

Why was no one available to take an enquiry at 12pm on a Friday?

Perhaps we could link our phone to someone's mobile

We are open to working with you to get you back; but if your precondition is a change at the top, this is not something we will accommodate.

Viva el president

With regards to the D-day suggestion it would be good to have a replica kit done from 75 years ago...presumably this would be the squares?....donations to an appropriate veterans support charity.

Disappointing Q and A for me, nothing I didn't know already. No accountable timelines or concrete facts. A consolidation.

Regarding D-Day, it'd be nice it the players wore the names of the littlest street in England. perhaps on a grey scale (red and white with a grey filter) version of our kit.

Offers:
Standardised offers are key for any bar or pub.

We should have set offers for midweek games and set offers for weekend games. Perhaps a further set for midweek CSC and replays.
We should be more aware of when Pay Day is each month, and adjust accordingly.
Better pricing would cut down on the times spent queuing. Very few people buy 1 beer, so allowing 2 for £5 or four for £10 would negate the need for change too.

We don't have menus so pricing and clear signage of what we sell will allow people to make decisions on what they want whilst in the queue - similar to the indoor snack bar.

I only ever see charities set-up pop up in the bar, never Pukka Pie or Jamesons Whisky (Assuming we have certain brands we stock that might be able to offer support).
We're a high footfall venue on a match day.

The CSH
[/b][/u]

The community sports hall also badly fails on the pub LITMUS atmosphere test (poor Lighting, average temperature, no music). Can we consider softening the lighting, or covering them in someway? We should be able to have music, be it via Spotify ( a digital jukebox ) or a live acoustic act. The size of the hall and the materials its made from means it often feels cold.

The seating arrangements aren't designed for conversation with groups, so most will choose to stand and therefore their dwell time is shortened.
The breeze block walls add a cold empty feel to the place, and the large open space (designed for sport) are too empty to create atmosphere.

We'd be almost better adding the wall in, and having the door open at each side to shut down some of the space.. We could actually decorate this in some way.

As a venue, I can't see why we can't invest in photo frames or poster frames that other groups can remove or adapt with their own images for events.

We should offer Thwaites or Football Accumaltors the opportunity to create this: https://copa90.com/wc19/clubhouse - a fan bar experience that is set up and taken down each game and extend their partnership.

Other random ideas:
*** Football Accumulator Live with... bringing their key contacts down to create a live podcast.

Football Accumaltors bring their podcast and guests live to Moss Lane: https://www.myfavoritemurder.com/live-shows

*** Pre-match Crawl route with Pubs

Accept all fans aren't going to come to Moss Lane from 12pm, work with Libero, and A.N other pub to create a schedule where fans visit 2 pubs and visit Moss Lane for the final couple of pre-match beers.

*** Football Print Exhibitions

Invite local artists (with decent followings in the local area) to create Altrincham artwork, sold at Moss Lane on a given day, with each person in before 12pm gets the chance to win the original.

*** Retro Football Shirt Swap with Classic Football Shirts

Invite Manchester's Classic Football Shirt to bring down a selection of their shirts for a pop-up event. This could be match-day or non-match day. Altrincham could sell retro shirts from across the generation donated by fans to raise money for the club at the same time.

*** Retro Gaming or Subbuteo tournaments

There's a Manchester Subbuteo team based in Hotel Football. Invite the hold tournament and get older fans in.

Random Non-Football Ideas:

Ted x Altrincham
- Very popular at The Bridgewater Hall, Ted x brings in amazing speakers and gives them a platform to speak. Also bringing in a certain crowd, who might want to get involved in the football club
