Took my old Dad to Goodison Park for our third round game.
Many happy memories and anecdotes from the day!
Missed the replay as my eldest was born on the 6th so I was at the hospital bouncing her (gently) on my knee on the 7th. (wouldn't fancy trying to do it nowadays 😂)
Happy days!

Half a Century though!! 😜🤯

Wow. 50 years. It hadn't occurred to me until I saw your post.
I got to go on the directors' coach and sit in the directors' box as I was at school with Noel White's son.
Happy days as you say.
Had to 'slum it' on the terraces as usual at the replay at Old Trafford. I guess it made sense to move it there and playing in front of 35,000 (give or take) two games running within 4 days  must have been great for the players but it would have been a great night at Moss Lane.

50 years ago today Alty took on Everton in the FA Cup 3rd round replay at Old Trafford. Incredibly, highlights of that game turned up last year.

For those who haven't seen it...

Everton x 2 , Liverpool , Spurs x 3 , Brum , Wembley x 3 etc etc . 2 Alliance titles , cheated out of FL status . Two decades full of magical memories for all Alty fans .
Everton finished 4th that season , 3 points behind Cloughies champions Derby yet we battled them toe to toe over 180 minutes, indeed in all 7 games against top tier clubs we never once looked out of our depth.
