Game ON.

No surprise for those of us based locally. No frost overnight & not much rain yesterday. Full credit to the groundsman & all the ground staff for their excellent work over Christmas.

if we beat the frost then I expect a full strength team from what is available.

I assume Kosylo will be available.

          Ross

Banks Olson Bains EJones

    Osborne Crawford

Newby   Kosylo  Linney

       Bickerstaff

Need Marriott alongside Crawford. That midfield would be too slow.

As I've already said, that would be my pick. Can't see it happening unfortunately.

Not even the slightest hint of frost round these parts but good comms from the club, well done.

Looks like the blizzard is holding off till much later too.

Should be a good day for it  ;D

Game off again at Halifax.

They're going to have another pile-up on their hands.

And Rochdale, though they've moved their game to Stockton to get it done.

Think that's Gateshead v Boston that's been moved to Stockton.  ;D

Fabulous result, that. Delighted for Crawford and very pleased for Nuttall as well. Let's get another home draw and continue towards Wembley!

For me, that was our best performance of the season. For about an hour, it was two excellent teams and a fabulous end-to-end cup tie. After that, we took control and were well worth the victory.

I thought that Jake Bickerstaff had his best game for Alty and we just never look like we're going to lose with Tom Crawford in the team. It was also good to see Isaac back in the starting lineup.

I'm sure we've had as committed and effective loanees as Charlie Olsen, but from the top of my head, I really can't remember one. He managed the big Barnet striker beautifully and was my MOTM.

Just a few more home draws and we'll reach Wembley...

Great performance - especially the second half - but what on EARTH was that keeper about? They were practically playing with a fly goalie for most of the game. A lobbed goal was inevitable.

Great to get that result but don't forget we were playing what was basically a Barnet second eleven. 10 changes from their last league game I believe.
How would our second string have fared?

Job done and into the hat for the last 16.

Considering that was Barnets ressies it could have been more comfortable. However once they took the lead with a scrappy goal it was largely one way traffic, & ultimately we were full value. Big day on Monday with the 5th round draw. Gainsborough or Sittingbourne at home please.

Much better in the second half when we stepped up the energy levels and closed the Barnet defence down a lot more. The equaliser was an excellent move and goal. In fact Tom Crawford took both his goals really well. Generally very solid performances from the whole team, as others have said that might have been Jake Bickerstaff's best performance for us so far, he held the ball up well and made some decent passes. Nice to get a third goal so able to relax a bit more than usual in the last few minutes.

Well done all! Second half was very good and looking forward to the next round 8)
