I'd be very pleased to hear we'd signed either of them.
Would prefer Reid though. Let's hope he is totally averse to a vegan diet! 😉

I think a lot of those 'rumour mill' accounts can be taken with a pinch of salt - I think I read somewhere else that he'd prefer to remain NW-based, but unfortunately that probably brings some L2 teams into play.

Any other shouts for potential recruits? - I was having a look at Wolves youth roster given they're coming to us soon, and they have that lad out on loan at Fylde, Tyler Roberts, who has been impressing despite their poor form. Been with Wolves since he was a kid but sounds like the Summer could be the end of the road. Can play on either wing, might be worth a look for next year.

Regan being linked to a few more clubs now - the one that worries me is Carlisle as they're splashing the cash.

They've just bought Cedwyn Scott from Notts County though, so hopefully just lazy journalism.

If their interest is serious, the club should be holding them to ransom given the budget they clearly have.

I'll be both delighted and amazed if Linney is still with us come February

Can't see him leaving midterm. Close season, possibly.
If he's allowed to leave in this window, we can kiss goodbye to any thoughts of the play offs or success in the Trophy imho.
Certainly not to a Carlisle side who could very well be joining us in the NL next year (unless, of course, we win the play offs)! 😉

Parky said on Pastries yesterday there were no offers currently, but he did add the caveat, that if the right bid came in and Regan wanted to leave then the club would not stand in his way. I assume Regan would ideally want to go up to at least D1 not to a relegation threatened club and also one that was going to allow him to play and not warm the bench.

Very few options knocking around.
Would have said Wigan but they've just sold a striker to York for ?350k but they've replaced him with a loanee from championship side Oxford.
They're also giving a few minutes to Hugill (😳)

Even if he ended up getting relegated back to this level, he'd be doing so whilst earning 2-3x the amount of money, and playing in front of 2-3x more fans every week.

As Parky said, we wouldn't stand in his way - but the right offer needs to be put on the table first.

That didn't really work out very well for Dan Mooney, though. ;)

True. But I don't think it helped that he moved away from home though, and he was also nowhere near as good as Regan let's face it.

I think Regan will have plenty of suitors in the north west and Carlisle isn't the worst for him as a Preston lad. I can't see him being interested in Bromley but I suppose nothing surprises me in football these days.

Don't know why they needed him when they've already got super Marcus.

Super Marcus was injured in their 1-1 home draw with MK Dons on September 28th and hasn't been in a match day squad since. I can't find any details of his injury (we're apparently not the only club observing the Official Secrets Act with regard to fitness issues) but an absence of over 3 months suggests it's a serious issue.

We moved Marcus on for a fee - when it was likely he'd probably move on for free later that summer- and we used the proceeds to sign Regan Linney instead.

Looking like better business as each week passes.
