It was my late father's contention that no professional footballer should EVER fail to score a penalty. A bit optimistic perhaps, but I'd certainly expect better than a 25% success rate.

Always getting the ball on target is a more realistic target. 50% last night.

That was a late night, got back to Alty from the game about 12.20am.

Overall a game we should have won in normal time, thought Newbs and Olson were excellent. Just need to be more clinical and when in good positions and shoot first time more often. Like others we were disappointed when went to wing backs, it let them in, Osbourne for them excellent of the bench, there subs made a difference. ours less so, formation change I am sorry does not work with these players.

The penalties, we were woeful, Linney set the tone, firing over the bar, there's were clinical. Nuff said on that. Maybe next year.

Need a settled team, there are way too many changes in each game, need injuries to settle and Cooper/Marriott back asap. Where was Crankshaw last night? Weaver should come back into the fold asap. lets hope we do better in the trophy when that starts.

Penalties aside it was the best performance I've seen this season both from the players and the fans.

Shame it took a goal to wake us up but we had the lions share of the play until the 92nd minute. Even in extra time we created loads of chances.

I predict both teams will still be feeling it on Saturday and struggle against top opposition.

The ref seemed very card happy.

We missed a glorious opportunity last Saturday.

That game was there for the taking.

Still can?t get my head around the Reddin sub and change in formation.
Really needed a decent run in the FA cup for some excitement, but more so the finances.
At the point of the sub, it sounded like Reddin was running through the lines and was being a threat.
He takes him off, we go defensive with 3 CBs, sit back and get punished. Happens all the time but Parky does not learn.
Really annoying.
At least he could see that Regan can do a full 90 and more. His legs must be shot today, sounded like he was always at them.

Redding did take a knock just before he was subbed.

Of all the players to withdraw, Baines and Reddin! And how the hell does bringing on Nuttall increase our goal threat? This is a tough one to take to be honest, for as oneedham says, there goes the chance to improve the finances.

Baines was replaced by Jones because he had cramp and couldn't continue. We kept the back four. Reddin was replaced by Golden because he took a knock. It wasn't a change to a back five to see it out, if anything it was a straight swap with Golden pushing on. The bashing of the manager for making forced changes is so, so weird.

If all that is the case then that's fine. I wonder how you know this though?
I would never bash Parky after all he's done for us but I've only seen exasperation on here.

I wasnt there

If u were there then you know how it went which is fair enough..

I don?t usually comment on games I haven?t been to for obvious reasons.

There is too much supposition on here sometimes, having said that, I suppose everyone has the right to comment.

I get frustrated after games and unless we have a good win then I tend to leave it for a day to try not and give a knee-jerk reaction.

We go again on Saturday

I wasn?t there so maybe I was wrong but until Olson was taken off, Radio Robins indicated E Jones and Golden as wingbacks, with Banks going CB alongside James Jones and Olson.

Only at the start at the extra time he went back to 4, after subbing Olson, but too late, we had conceded. The game should have been seen out in the 90,without going to wingbacks, which invites pressure by being so deep.

People comparing the heartache of Halifax, if we had brought on Sinclair that day, instead of a defender, I believe we would have got to Wembley. We can?t soak up or deal with pressure.  Not enough leaders.
