I suppose it's easy to say after a performance like this from Jake Cooper - but I felt we had a great opportunity over the summer to bring in a top quality defensive partner for Lewis Baines - especially given it's usually harder to find a good lefty.

We decided to re-sign James Jones instead, I just hope we did everything we could to bring in someone like Matty Williams at Chester who could have been brilliant for us.

Disingenuous, Jake had a decent season last year.
Next thing everybody will be saying it is because CCC has left

4G pitches are of no use to Alty if they have ambitions of league football

I Think you have to sign up for a monthly subscription of about 15 quid from what I can make out.. then it?s a 30 day period notice if you want to cancel it. They say you get full access to everything. Not for me

I think a lot folks are still on holiday SLA. plus City v Utd would have took the eye of quite a few other fans.
Not sure why they bother with that silly match tbh.

I?m sure the gates will improve going forward, plus Oldham come a calling on the 31st Aug? One game where the gates will certainly be healthy.

Its time to forget about CCC he has moved on and so should we.

It was a well earnt win against a typical Woking outfit, wanting to spoil and lots of niggly fouls

Kelly Evans their 27 and the No8 were both little nasty sh*ts.

Great start to the season and what a goal by Taylor Golden. I thought the lads put in a great shift on a warm afternoon which shows how fit our lads have started the campaign.

Well done lads and the management and support team

Onwards and Upwards

The lads looked sharp and fit today, hopefully we can make the playoffs again but we did punch above our weight last season tbh.

Whatever happens let?s enjoy it.

Apparently the club now have a machine that enables them to produce the season tickets in-house

I had an email today asking me if I wanted to sponsor the player I did last season, which I did. They are going on general sale next Friday?.

I am sure PP will have it all sorted by the first game of the season. I am not surprised monies have been used on the ground etc. love it or loathe it, the ground is tired and does need investing in.

At the end of the day the shirt will probably generate the greatest amount of money than any other shirt, which is the purpose of the exercise.
