Good to get players minutes and some of the games have been interesting.

Turning the clock back to 1968 when i started out on my magical Alty ride,  the Main Stand had wooden benches but that was ok , really good access from both sides, plenty of room to stretch out the legs etc, good view of the pitch from all areas top to bottom, snack bar to the side stacked with goodies (those pies were the best) , and both Ladies and Gents toilets round the back.  It was'nt the best atmosphere tbh but definitely a worthy match day experience for those wishing to sit down .  Fast forward 57  years........
Yes, was a wooden bench when I started watching in 1977. Think it changed in the 80's when we bought some 2nd hand seats from someone. It then got a bit cramped. Seems we will have to manage until a new stand gets built one day....

Would have taken a point before the game. Thought overall we deserved a win, but when on a 1 goal lead your always at risk. FGR threw the kitchen sink at us last 10 minutes with those quality players coming on. They forced a scruffy goal and got out of jail. Considering there budget to ours I think we performed admirably. Long may it continue. Best seen Crankshaw play, hopefully stays fit and improves. Joe played well for 60 minutes then started to fade. Thought Regan was slightly off it today, was better 2nd half and unlucky when struck the post.

This is a good test against the Vegan's. Looking forward to it as I am sure the players are. Having gone to the away game we were unlucky to leave with no points and sure we have learned from the errors we made that day.

Kosylo is available again and will he start Crankshaw.

My team would be

          Ross

Banks  Olson  Baines Golden

     Osborne  Crawford

 Newby  Kosylo  Linney

      Bickerstaff

Possibly Weaver in for Bickerstaff, put Kosylo wide and put Linney up top.

Best we can do with injuries currently have I feel.

If anyone comes in, think it will be a loan or two.

Ideally we just need to get the 6 injured players back up and playing again with no new injuries ideally. Crankshaw and Amaluzor will be like new signings if they can get fit.

Good match highlights here

Definitely should have won by more. definite red for the head butt. Newby great poaching and Tom good finish.

Nuttall frustrates, he lost there man for the equalizer and could have scored with a bit more effort to get to the cross in.

Listened on RR and really pleased we got the 3 points. Parkys first win there and 10 years since we last managed it. There manager said they had been 19 games unbeaten before the game. Sounds like we could have had a few more and lucky it did not cost us.

On the sending off it was in front of the ref, there must have been contact, head butt I imagine. that gives the referee a decision to make. Sounds like they played better with 10. Anyway onto FGR match and upto 6th.

Pleased Weaver had a good game, a massive step up in such a short time.

Hoping the game goes ahead, much will depend on the thaw and drainage of the pitch as this happens. Not started yet, 1c by the ground and need 3c+ to start a meaningful thaw. See what this afternoon brings and into tomorrow.

Now down to 11th and 4 points of the play offs, need to start a good run from Tuesday and propel ourselves back into the top 7.

Yes, standard procedure, I remember these types of charges I dealt with when Alty Juniors secretary. I am sure fines will follow for both clubs and staff involved plus any other measures they deem fit to impose.

Can't see him leaving midterm. Close season, possibly.
If he's allowed to leave in this window, we can kiss goodbye to any thoughts of the play offs or success in the Trophy imho.
Certainly not to a Carlisle side who could very well be joining us in the NL next year (unless, of course, we win the play offs)! 😉
Parky said on Pastries yesterday there were no offers currently, but he did add the caveat, that if the right bid came in and Regan wanted to leave then the club would not stand in his way. I assume Regan would ideally want to go up to at least D1 not to a relegation threatened club and also one that was going to allow him to play and not warm the bench.

Good news on Olson, generally been excellent for us.

Didn't work out for Max Haygarth, shame there is a good player in there somewhere.
