It was nice to read Mr Peake has actually acknowledged our excellent travelling fans, who once again acted in a respectful manner towards an injured player. Other clubs and their so called fans (  no names but they do have a lot of sheep near them ) take note !!

As if the integrity of our fans was ever in question... another ploy by Peake to get his face in the paper and take the focus away from the poor lad who has actually been horrifically injured.

I'm not grateful for him stating the obvious.

I was merely pointing out it was nice that he had put it in writing, I wasn't asking anyone to be grateful! :(

It was obvious that Wrexham should have apologised for their fans behaviour but they didn't.  Credit were it's due he did OK this time.

But then ruined it by pointing that he'd put the guy up in a hotel as if everyone should be grateful to him!

Good point well made altygal.

however peake is still a git and no amount of fawning now he's in a spot of bother will change that.

It's a sad and sorry indictment of the state of affairs in the game today when an email has to be sent to recognise supporters for behaviour that should be routine and a normal part of the game.

I also feel that the Alty fans' articulate and wonderfully elegiac lament periodically recited to the referee and linesman should have brought similar recognition.

Grump over.

PS Who on earth decided to put the ground on top of that hill? Have they no respect or consideration for the elderly?
