Should we be interested in a short-term deal at left back until Matt Doughty get back? Or is he probably too expensive/slow now to be viable?

Too slow in my opinion. Have been to morecambe a few times this season and on the rare occasion he has played, he's done nothing. Friends there really don't rate him at all. Having said that; i've had a feeling he'd finish at alty.

I believe he has been player of the season at least once - and very popular with the fans. I guess age and pies have caught up with him.

They are in a minority then.
Danny is only out of the side because we now have Laurence Wilson who is probably the best attacking left-back in League Two. If he's been injured or suspended, Danny's stepped in and done a good job. Lack of pace is more than compensated by his reading of the game and his skills on the ball. He'd do you a good job and I hear he had a few offers to go out on loan but only wanted to go to Alty. If you want him I'm sure he'd come.

Twissy also has found himself forced out by the scoring prowess of Phil Jevons. Sammy prefers Mullin as a target man partner for him. Again, when Twissy has been asked to play he's worked hard and done well. He'd still be a strong player in the Conference and has, again, had offers to go elsewhere on loan but they've been from places further afield and he wants to stay in the Manchester area..

It is well worth giving Danny a go.

It's what it is all about a local lad playing for his local team.

If he isn't upto scratch then we can always release him, he was class when he last played for us.

It's all completely academic because we haven't got any money to sign more players.

Linking up with ex-morecambe boss JH. Looks like Stalybridge could be coming up on the rails for a play-off win. Personally, I'd like to see them beat Droylsden in the final (or, even better, Droylsden in the semi and Scouseport in the final)

If they have pots of money, they can throw it around all they like - as long as they keep the pots to p*ss in later when it ends in tears.
