Alty fans looking to get fit in the new year?
« on: January 09, 2010, 10:32:15 AM »

It doesn’t matter if you only play badminton socially or haven’t played since your school days, maybe you just want to get fit in the new year. Whatever your circumstance Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre needs you to get involved in Badminton England’s No Strings National Badminton Championships.

The competition is open to recreational players who have never played badminton in a league or for any club team and will take place on the weekend of 27th and 28th February 2010.

Players will be invited to play in a variety of events. The winners of each event will qualify to compete in the Regional finals for a chance to compete in the National Finals at The National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes in June where thousands of pounds worth of Carlton sports products will be up for grabs.

Entry to the tournament is £6.00 per event and application forms can be obtained from reception at The Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre or downloaded from The Badminton England website at www.badmintonengland.co.uk/nlcc

The deadline for applications is 15th January 2010. It would be great to see as many entrants as possible and even better if we could get a player at the National Finals. So what have you got to lose?

If you require any more information please do not hesitate to contact Jordan Tyms Assistant Manager Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre on 0161 436 0560 or jordan.tyms@willow-park.co.uk

Badminton at school? That sounds a bit gay.
