We have to recover quickly and produce a performance at Histon on Saturday!

No point dwelling on it. I've been told by someone at the game that we were poor tonight but we can come back stronger.

We were awful, should have buried a few easy chances. Very disapointing lads, why can't we play how we play at away games, but at Moss Lane?

Having just got back from the match then here's my assessment.

Result flattered alty, barrow had many, many chances and managed to fluff most out of the ground.
Little's long range effort in the first half, was alty's only real goal scoring opportunity. Senior had a fantastic chance at the start of the second half but hit his shot straight at the keeper.
Still wondering why kearney, denham and little were all taken off, and then playing clee in central midfield. McALISKEY, didnt have a good game at all and really should have been brought off.
Doughty and Young at fault for barrow goal, barrow found space on the wings time and time again without really being closed down.
Densmore annonced as MOfM, however i thought Smith was the best alty player on the pitch.

Overall not a good match.

team being Booed off

I also heard no booing after the game. The performance wasn't worth booing, I think maybe this business with applying for Football League whatever might have got to them? Let's pick ourselves up and take three points at Histon. Let's face it, it's Away!

Once again like with the goal we gave Chester, the defence backed off the man with the ball. If we cut this out we will be fine! Only thing I worry about is we have payed £1000 to play league football if we make the play off, however, that is not going to happen if we don't get something from out home games. I think in the interest of the fans the players better start playing at home and not just on away trips.

Well done Barrow , they were by far the better team ,there no 15  Paul Rutherford had a great game , we seem to have trouble with teams that play fast attacking football , sorry to say this once again but for me McAliskey isn't good enought

i think it was the barrow fans response to realising that they had to go home to such a depressing place.
Also it's benefit day at the job centre tomorrow for them.

The sponsors' award of Man Of The Match to Densmore only suggests that they overindulged on the pre-match hospitality.

Barrow's left winger, Rutherford, gave him a truly torrid evening.

The better side won.

We were ragged and lacked cohesion and shape.

However, Senior did miss a glorious chance, shooting straight at the goalkeeper when a placed shot either side of him would surely have done the trick.

Kearney uncharacteristically poor by his standards.
Little very poor.
Not excited about McAliskey, I'm afraid.

Credit to Coburn for some good handling and saves in atrocious conditions.

McAliskey didn't play well for me. He lurched around the pitch and lost the ball too easily, and his passes were terrible. Barrow's mid field played very well. I'm thankful their finishing was terrible as Alty would have had a real thrashing. I didn't enjoy the Alty formation, and although the performance was bad, I didn't hear any mass 'booing'.
After that show, we don't need to worry about the play offs.

Does anyone know why our home record is rubbish? Do the players not like Moss Lane?

Densmore won MOTM despite being the poorest player on the pitch. Rutherford ran him ragged. Must have been an ironic selection !

Don't think anyone deserved  man of the match for Alty . Rutherford was the best player on the pitch in my opinion
