Am I missing something? Why do Tesco have this idea that a hooligan's idea of fun is waiting to draw a Non-League side with no 'firm', then going to said town and smashing up the local supermarket???

I think it was Wetherspoons that took the brunt of Millwall's visit last time wasn't it? A City mob seemed to be intent on drawing them into a fight from what I heard.

The Millwall fans that day were mainly the middle aged and children. It's one of the least intimidating sets of fans I've seen.

Proper hooligans don't go to matches where they heard of the opposing team last week, and they have no troublemakers themselves.

Was there actually any trouble after the Milwall game then?

I heard there was a scrap in Wetherspoons. Hardly wide-scale hooligan violence, rather a few City morons trying it on with the Cockneys.

Admittedly I wasn't there, could have been blown out of all proportion.

I happen to be in posession of a non-league directory from circa 1984, and it relates that the Slough versus Millwall FA cup tie was marred by mindless morons or whatever. Believe it or not. And this is a Middlesex derby. Sort of. The Staines Massif will be... oh hang on...
