Alty vs Macc Rivalry

Me Dad was asking me to look up some old photos of Manor Road, and I found this interesting article written by the sheep shaggers. Can't wait to play them again.

Good (if obviously) biased read. This chap clearly knows his history. The glossing over of the late 70s to the mid 80s is predictably convenient the dirty sheepshagging scummer ;D

Admirablely one eyed, but a good read nonetheless. Among other excerpts not included:-

FA Cup 3rd Round January 1975. Everton 1 Altrincham 1, including 2 coaches of Macc Town fans who went to the game to support us! Shameful...

No mention of Phil Power?

He gets a couple of mentions mate. He's included in the team of players who've played for both clubs but oddly in midfield?!

Interesting XI he's selected for the players to have played for both clubs. I wouldn't argue with it in general but can only assume from his spell at Moss Lane that Keith Mountford must've played very well for Macc in his time there!!

Words utterly fail me concerning the blue bastards... so I'm not getting sucked in. Suffice it to say that I would absolutely LOVE to be playing them in league games again (and we might be doing that next year)

He was always an attacking midfielder for us.

Good luck in the FA Cup.. I'd love to have a game against you again.

The fake Rooney scored a Fabregas type goal against Cheltenham last night.

He's not a fake Rooney!

It's on his Birth certificate and everything!

Great goal though.

Fancy your chances tomorrow?
