International Update!!
« on: October 08, 2009, 02:42:19 PM »

From an absolutely raucous Moss Lane! The main stand alive with England Scotland England Scotland alternating chanting! Huge celebrations as England went one nil up about five minutes ago!! Great PR from the club to invite down the whole of (presumably) Stamford Park Junior School - certainly beats maths in the afternoon if you're 9 years old i guess!

Been a while since I've seen Mexican waves in the main stand as well! - on the pitch the ref is letting a lot go, Scotland's no 6 in centre mid is wearing a scrum cap
. Not seen that before. It also looks like there's a fire on the allotments ironically but no one else seems to have noticed!

Talking to Chris Bullock he says the schools were Alty C of E, Oldfield Brow and Gorse Hill primary schools. Very good game as well actually, still 1-0 England.

Mick,

Apparently, he's not available for selection at present.

I believe that he may have caught mumps off Chippy Minton....although some rumours suggest that he has signed for an Australian fire brigade XI.

Fireman Sam would have played but he had a welsh father and has already played for Wales at Pontypandy
