Chester Chronicle confirms Harvey as Chester boss ...
« on: October 06, 2009, 12:27:47 PM »

until end of season!

How incestuous could that be if FGR are near the bottom?

Peakey back-stabbing his ex manager?

He must be really desperate to get back into management.  Its probably one of the most unstable clubs in the country.

Mind you, the end of their season could be anyday!

Unfortunately, some guesstimates on the ever dismal Devachat put it at 31 October for meltdown (when wages/bills become due)

The 51-year-old said: 'It’s better working than not working, so that was one reason why I had the motivation to come to Chester and take the job on.

Hardly pictured with a shirt/scarf beaming about his boyhood ambition there is he?

If he waited a bit longer he could have had the Tranmere job.

Looks like the information might have been nearer to the truth than we thought!

The following press statement has been issued by the Football Conference regarding Chester City.

In accordance with Membership Rule 11 - for the non-payment of football creditors - Chester City FC have been placed under an immediate player embargo, in as much that:

1. Chester City FC has not complied with the terms of the compromise agreement set by the Football Conference to allow the club to participate in the competition at the commencement of the current season; and further to that fact, the club has been given 7 days, operative up to 5.30pm 26th October 2009, in which to meet the said payment terms of that agreement, otherwise they face the threat of expulsion from the Football Conference.

2. Chester City FC has failed to pay monies owing to Wrexham FC for away ticket sales relating to their fixture played on 27th September 2009 and further to that fact, the club has failed to meet a 7-day payment deadline imposed by the Football Conference.

3. Chester City has failed to pay Vauxhall Motors FC monies owed in relation to the loan of Paul Taylor, which should have been met no later than 14th October 2009.

The Football Conference will not be making any further statement on this matter at this time.

Vaughan FC in broken promises and financial skulduggery shocker!

It's an absolute disgrace.

Not paying other clubs their ticket money and loan fees is just not on.

Given the Conference let them in the league in the first place when every instinct should have been screaming for them to do otherwise as this was an accident waiting to happen, I can't see them being proactive now. They will just do what they always seem to do ... react to outside forces. Some examples of this would include;

1.  Peake's campaign against us in 'Robinsongate'
2.  Oxford, and others, getting their points deduction reduced last year
3.  Scarborough getting 'flirted'
4.  Their actions with regard to Northwich, Farsley, Kings Lynn and quite a few others

Note that I am not saying any of their actions are either good or bad in these cases but that they only acted (when they DID act) IN RESPONSE to a third party.
That's no way to show leadership of the League in my opinion.

So he isnt saying that he needs the money from FA and FC to pay wrexham and Vauxhall, just that he wont pay them until he gets the money.

What are the chances of that money going astray after payment. Certainly wont go directly to creditors.

Maybe he should, allegedly, stop paying 'window cleaners' 3 grand a week to clean the deva and give it to wrexham and vauxhall at the expense of the gleaming glass.

What an idiot he is.

They've sunk to an all time low, as my opinion is not paying immediate clubs gate receipts and loan money is appauling. The same for players wages, 31st October looks a very interesting date.

I take it by the window cleaner comment he is *allegedly* filtering money, thereby money laundering ?

I also think he missed the point of why they are witholding the payments to Chester, its precisely because of this sort of behaviour.  If they took the money for tickets, then they shouldn't need parachute payments to give the money back to the away club.

Quite a valid point that...
