Chorley won away at Ashton Utd in the last round so may not be total push overs. A certain Terry Fearns scored for them!

altrincham should easily get to 2nd round proper or even better i am sick of altrincham getting knocked out in the lower leagues when we can beat them we have a good team to go further in the fa cup. i hope we can go to the third round to face big teams.

To be honest mate after a really poor sequence in the Qualifying Rounds of the Cup, I'm pleased we have made the First Round these last couple of years.

A money-spinning tie against a Northwich or FCUM in the 4th Qual. Round might be good, but I'd sooner get some tin-pot injury-ravaged team from four leagues below in order to get a shot at a Leeds or Charlton and some much-needed cash.

When's the draw for the next round?

It'll be Noon on the Monday following the Third Qual. Round. Two weeks today? Or is it three weeks?

Luton and millwall were hardly lower leagues.

Notts County away in the first round will be good, then Leeds away, then Arsenal,  Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Manchester United in the final.

Hughesy,

This thought keeps crossing my mind, too.

We haven't played Vics in the FA Cup since the 1956/57 season, so we must be due to cop for them soon.

Somewhat surprisingly, Alty and Vics have never been drawn to meet each other in the FA Trophy.

Yes. Rio Ferdinand scores an own goal in the 89th minute. Fergie makes an official complaint because the referee only adds on an extra 20 minutes. Ladbrokes make Colin Little 2/9 favourite to win the sports personality of the year award.

Let's be realistic.

Ladbrokes will vastly underrate Colin Little to win, giving odds of 150 to 1, netting us all a bundle when he wins it.
