Shame his goal was disallowed, would have been a nice touch

Find it hard to believe he was offside, as said already a true alty legend.

Rod Thornley is one of my all time favourite players.  Not just for his goals but because he is a top bloke and knows what it means to play for Alty.  He has also raised thousands with his United/England auctions for the club.  Saw him on the terraces as well a few times this season as well..never expected to see him on the pitch.

I really hope Ashton let us play him a few more times...he does not look out of place when he comes on.

Without Rod thornley we would not be in the BSP now at all.

I would love it just love it if he scored the goal that sealed our safety this year.

I would walk 500 miles to see him score...and probably another 500 more.

A legend right up there with the best in my opinion and one of the toppest blokes to meet.

Playing 6 games in about 9 days was always going to put a strain on him I suppose.

Once again, thank you Rod!
