Just wondering this and felt it needed its own thread.

Vics are signing players left right and centre at the moment and on contracts.

Now then assuming that Vics go down or indeed stay up (which I doubt) are they being cunning in what they are doing?

Sign good players on contracts so that at the end of the season they will go to other clubs who will have to pay for them thus getting money in to their bank account.

Or am I talking a load of B*ll*cks?

I'm sure all their southern based players won't want to play in Blue Square North. Atleast now they have a fair few away games down south to break up the travelling. If they went down and kept the same squad the majority would almost certainly have to re locate on a permanent basis.

Perhaps the Northwich 'management' think they will be playing Conference South football next season, who knows what is going on in their heads.

Comedy Circus it really is…and yes don't they owe Telford some money??

But if they go down, nobody will offer big money for their players. Let's face it, if you're a Burton or a Torquay and you see financially unstable Northwich are down, you'll offer a pittance for a player you're interested in and say "take it or leave it".

That's what happened to Halifax, anyway.

I think all this talk of them selling the players on is a moot point, because if they go down with players on these kind of contracts they will probably go bust anyway.
