Lawton and Denham are both fit for Saturday, as is Danylyk, which is great news. No Elam or Smtih though.

My expected lineup:

I think they will be very solid, their home form belies their lowly position and I would be delighted with a point there.

I'm currently undecided whether the enforced break will benefit us or not. On the one hand, we looked to be building some momentum after the York game which I'm sure would have carried into the second Vics game.That momentum is now gone.  On the other, it has given the lads time to rest and for some important players to regain fitness.

I think I'd take a point on Saturday, anything more a bonus. 1-1, with a late Dale Johnson equaliser.

Very interesting to listen to the new Mansfield Town manager David Holdsworth on the Mansfield Town website. It looks like he as already introduced a regime based on players being fitter and is quite bold that if they don't like his methods they'll be on the "first road out of Mansfield". Seems to relish the idea of quick bursts by athletic wingers but doesn't discount an ugly 1-0 victory.

I expect the match will be tight but we may have the benefit of a team that are already well known to each other rather than a formation in its infancy.

I'll go for 2-1 win to Alty.

If Smith was fit then I reckon he'd play 3-4-3, but I think with Lane coming in it will be 4-4-2.
