Gutted. I knew I was feeling too good since boxing day for something not to come along and ruin it.

This postponement has left me with egg on my face as well as me being hit in the pocket.
I refused to go to a full family get-together 20 miles away so I could watch the game at home on TV, and I was bottom of the popularity table.
So on Christmas Day the family agreed to switch the venue to my house at my financial expence - to which I agreed.
I dont know what its like in Alty, but there was no overnight frost in Redhill for the first time since Saturday and this is a 'cold spot'

It was -3.5 all last night but this morning it is now (12.30pm) above freezing.....my garden in sale has a frostted grass covering but the soil below is quite soft.......as this is a local match perhaps the decision could have been made a tad later than the day before?

Not sure it would make a difference as the moss lane pitch is different to my gardenb but it would be annoying to find it had likewise softened sufficiently.

Speaking of which, having watched both the Old Firm derby and the Man U v Piddlesborough game amongst other items on Setanta, I did not see one single advert for the Alty game.

I think someone at Blue Square might want to look at the way the BSP games are promoted
