For New Years Day
« on: December 29, 2008, 02:14:26 PM »

I already hated Northwich when they came to Moss Lane in 1977 giving it the Big Boy Cup run arrogance.  And I thought we could put them in their place - but we played awfully and lost 3-0

So I already hated Vics when they came to Moss Lane in the first season of the APL, just before Christmas when Jeff Forshaw head butted Alex Stepney early in the game - but stan Allen kept a clean sheet

So I already hated the slime when Dave Ryan launched a clearance from his own box that sailed over Jeff Welands head at the other end.

So I already hated the saltminers when we were 2-1 up in injury time (Stephen Cross 2 goals on his debut) when with one of their players injured we put the ball out for a throw.  Did they give the ball back - no they did not.  They scored from the restart to confirm their reputation as cheating scum.

Add your own reasons for why they must not be allowed to leave Moss Lane with so much as a point on New Years Dat

My first Alty game. I've been hooked ever since.

I give you....

Mike Talbot-Butler - the Alty-loathing reporter from the Northwich Guardian back in the 1970s and 1980s;

Tony and Nigel - those extremely irritating match announcers who used to broadcast a stream of drivel across The Drill Field;

Dave Ryan saving a Graham Heathcote penalty at The Drill Field;

Losing 1-0 at The Drill Field in the 1977/78 & 1978/79 & 1979/80 & 1980/81 seasons...!

On Northwich train station in 1989 I got chased to the end of the platform and jumped down (not in front of a train) and ripped my new beige cords from bottom to top on some fom of nail/bolt thing.

That is all.

For me, the injured player/throw-in incident in 1993-94 will never be forgotten.

Cheating green slime scumbags.

Cannot believe I forgot that.

I was so incensed I stormed their supporters coach, on my own without telling anyone so wasn't even acting the tough guy!!

They just looked shocked as I ranted and then left!
