« on: November 17, 2008, 02:29:12 AM »

my flight to accra is booked for 6.00am tues morning

there is no doubt i am able to go to a doctor and be told not to fly ( but secretly would get to moss lane iNstead)and therefore claim on insurance for flight

on the other hand new job starts on weds and think it would be frowned upon if i turn up late, but then again if i turn up ill they will still think badly.

oh god i hate having a real job already and i havent started yet there is a lot to be said for being self employed and bone idle

what should i do?                       come on braintank sort me out

Run Run Run like a gazelle
Tell them their job can go to hell
Come and see the Alty at the famous Moss Lane
When having beaten Luton they will find their true fame

Run Run Run like a gazelle
Tell the Doctor that you are not very well
Tell him your usual about crabs VD and  piles
Mention the fact that you don't want the air miles

Run Run Run like a gazelle
Remember the days of the giant killing acts
The fights with those drunken Runcorn T**ts
You will miss  all this if you emigrate
Mind you it's a while since you came through an Alty gate

Run Run Run like a Gazelle
On second thoughts............f**k off you miserable tosser! :D

You could campaign for an extra game to be played abroad at the end of the season in order to expand the global market that is Blue Square Premier football. I'm sure Accra would love to host Alty vs Vics in the national stadium.  ::)

There is a team whose nickname is the Porcupines?? That's awesome. Beats the hell out of some of the rubbish we have over here:-

Liverpool = The Reds...That's just lazy

Sunderland = The Black Cats...Didn't they choose that recently? It's dreadful. Why not the Mackems or something that wouldn't get laughed at?

Macc = The Silkmen...I've not a fan of the football-club-nickname-based-on-town-industry thing. If it were famous for sewage plants would they be the sh*t shovellers?

Come to think of it, that last one suits them quite well  ;)

ACTUALLY...I read on Wikipedia recently that Billingham Synthonia are indeed named after Sh*te!!!

"They are known for being the only club in England to be named after an agricultural fertiliser (Synthonia being a contraction of "synthetic ammonia", a product manufactured by ICI, with whom the club originally had a close connection.)"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billingham_Synthonia_F.C.

I dont know however, if the above suggests there are other such clubs in the UK / World!

First day sickie? Its been done before I'm sure.

Just don't get on the telly highlights when the winner screams in with 90 seconds to go.
