I don't think we'll make it to TV, and this year that's probably fair enough. I think it's reasonable to have AFC Wimbledon on, and there are a few others of equal or greater interest than ours. I'm still annoyed about last year though, Alty (proudest giant killing record in non-league) vs Millwall (recent FA Cup Finalists) overlooked in favour of a rubbish southern tin-pot derby.

We've got a fair shot at getting something out of this one - in other words the draw could have been much more unkind to us.

Having said that, I know it's mostly my imagination, but I'd really fancy us a lot less if we were on the box (!) so for me it's good news that we probably won't be.

Save that for Old Trafford in the Third Round  ;)

I doubt very much we'll be on tv.

For some reason, sky and setanta always seem keen to show some toss league teams playing each other that they could do at jsut about any point in the season.

AFC Wimbledon is nailed on, going to be a guardian/media wankfest over this for weeks, by the end of it any support or sympathy you had for them will be well and truly disappated.

Judging from yesterdays coverage, Havant & Waterlooville appear to have made history last year by being the first non league team ever to take the lead away at top flight opposition so I'd say there's is going to be on as well.

I think ours would have potential if we were at home, less so away and it will probably slip under the radar.

Tv will probably also look for one very big chance of an upset (Kettering v Lincoln) and one game where they go to a little hole of a ground

Blyth S v Shrewsbury T. - distinct possibility (geordies and famous  old name, good cup run in 70s)
Sutton U. v Notts Co. - excuse to bang on about the Coventry game again and again, also possible shock
AFC Hornchurch v Peterborough United
Northwich Victoria/AFC Telford United v Southend United
Hinckley United/Curzon Ashton v Exeter City
Durham City/Histon v Swindon Town
Harlow Town v Macclesfield Town

Agreed - we've got little chance of being featured. Have tv ever showed a league team v non-league team FA Cup game - probably not?

I thought the FA had put a stop to Friday and Monday cup games and now they all have to be on the Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks very much for keeping us up to speed.  Your knowledge of these matters is second to none, you really are a non league oracle.

And your team got a live game as well.  Double bonus.

For the record, I'll decide when I shut up.

The utter irony (and it is irony given our away record over the past few years) is that we probably have as good a chance of causing an upset as any of the other non leaguers playing league sides. Havant is a good call to be honest, though I think both us and Kettering are decent bets.

I can't see any chance that our game will be shown live, or even get extended highlights as there are 10 ties where a non-league side is at home to a football league side, and these always seem to get the nod.

Havant will not beat Brentford.

Our chances are slim, a replay could be possible though.

I reallly think Kettering are going to do Lincoln (and it might get a bit tasty outside).

Yeah, He could even make up a news article and put it on his own website saying a local village pub outfit thats overshadowing his own failing football club was about to go out of business, even though it was a complete untruth, then he'd look a right prat.
