Isn't it a Jezza production?

I'm not ashamed to say that I'm wiping a tear from my eye after watching that montage.  A great picture of Barry Whitbread's goal against Orient in the middle there - pity there isn't any footage of Jeff's goal at White Hart Lane.

Loved the early 70's cup ties, lots of Blackburn in there.

It's our history - the history of a great non-league club.

I guess many of the pics were good old John Rooney, club photographer for donkey's years.
The great man who donated the negs of the B'ham game that were reproduced to help raisew some dosh at B20!
Pleased to say I've got one of those montages signed by all bar Colin Chesters!

Average gates in  late 60s 2,500, early 70s around 2,000, twice that for derbies.
10,000 squashed in late 60s vs Man City friendly, 8,000 or so vs Orient etc. etc.
I seem to recall in the late 70s there was a vague plan to increase capacity to 15,000 or more, I think it involved re-development of the pop side and extending the main stand. Deams of reaching the old 2nd division were realistic,.... Wimbledon of the north, but better of course!

I don't recall these plans but we mere supporters were not always told. I did hear about the plans about the main stand after the recentish alterations, 95-96 but they clearly were not going to fruition after relegation that season. There was at the same time a plan to fully cantilever the popular side after the middle section was repaired after it blew away. Before Maunders bailed out there was another plan to fully redevelop the ground including a fully seated popular side, but it didn't happen.

Prior to the Taylor Report the capacity at Moss Lane was generally regarded as being 10,000. Even with the current improvements, (there were not even any barriers pre 96 except in the Hale End),  we are now at just over the league minimum of 6000.

I can't personally see the potential for development at Moss Lane much beyond our current capacity, perhaps 6,500-7000 if we ever became a league club and required lots more seating.

There's plenty of space on the pop side, even if it was all just extended to the same size as the middle section (oo-er). We're lucky we have quite a large area by the mausoleum for various necessary improvement, bogs, shop, offices etc.
