What a sad state it is that even though you end up in the relegation zone every season you escape. Sad sad sad!

To be fair, UC is probably just trying to cheer himself up from his devastation at not getting BSN football at Alty next season.

And he nicked it from Conferenceforum.

Good luck Halifax fans - you'll need it, but it's not the end. Make another club to be proud of!

Yeah how dare with run our football club properly.. I'll hang my head in shame for the rest of my time supporting Alty... Terrible state of affairs.

One day people will get it that teams are obviously gaining an advantage by paying more than they can afford... But until then we have to put up with complete barmpots with comments like this.

You should not have even been in the Conference this year mate. Do you not feel a bit ashamed that despite getting lower points tallies than other clubs you still end up playing in the same league. Relegation is there to weed out rubbish clubs from the league!

We got no sympathy at all from Halifax fans in 1981 when they avoided relegation from the old Division 4 at our expence through a sytem that was unjust and undemocratic.
All we are doing now is accepting a situation to our advantage, we are doing nothing wrong, like we they did nothing wrong in 1981 when were Champions but were not promoted.
The only difference is that Halifax's current situation is their own fault not ours, but in 1980 and 1980 we were dealt the short straw through no fault of our own.

...and these days to weed out the overspenders who can't run their club properly. Most on this forum will have complete sympathy for the Halifax fans after what we went through some years ago, but not many will have sympathy with the club because they simply cheated.

I'm afraid it's people like mathx that cause me to have little sympathy.

Sincere good luck to any friendly genuine Halifax fans who are prepared to take this on the chin without blaming everyone else and coming on here outraged because we happened to finish 4th bottom....to the neanderthals, well comments like you may take 50 fans to droylsden have come back and succinctly bitten you on your backside haven't they?

If it was alty going bust we'd have all sorts of dark humour on here.

And what is sad sad sad sadder? being in a position to get a reprieve or being in Halifax's position?

As A TRUE lover of football and big grounds, league floodlights etc etc it is very sad when a club goes to the wall....but they'll be back and really they should be saying this is a good thing at last able to shrug ofgf the debt forever and build a fans club with no egotistical chairman running up big debts....the Unibond isn't all bad, and they'll have more fun there than wasting away under a burden of debt in the BSP.

Ironically had they survived and run on a proper budget next year they'd be looking at 4th bottom and hoping for a reprieve.

Why should anyone associated with Alty feel ashamed? What have we done wrong and, more to the point, how would anything we did change the situation for Halifax (or the clubs relegated in previous years)? Even if the Alty demanded to be relegated in accordance with our league position and results that would save Farsley not Halifax.

What do you expect to achieve by having a go at us?
Aren't you ashamed that the people running your club took products and services from local businesses (we'll let you off the tax man) and offered to pay them 2.5% of what they owed?
