Halifax and Altrincham Messageboards
« on: May 04, 2008, 01:22:24 PM »

Over the last week we have seen a lot of posts from either team on opposing boards. Firstly I am sick of the arguing about who should and shouldn't stay up. We have no power over what happens so what is the point fighting. It is for the AGM to decide!!!

Secondly I on behalf of the Halifax fans wish to apologise for some members of our messageboard. We have posted on here and our page that you do not deserve to play this standard of football due to 2 consecutive years of reprieve by the AGM. However saying this we are not too happy about a small contingent of your fans calling for our immediate relegation and in some peoples cases closure.

All I wish to say is there is no need for the behaviour . We will found out within the next few weeks the fates of our teams and then hopefully that will be the end of it. Whatever happens I hope there is no bitterness between both sets of clubs and supporters.

I don't really care if Halifax fans hate us. They did wrong, we didn't. Let justice be done.

Its up to the football authorities to get their decisions & policies to show justice. Neither of us wants clubs to fold, but both of us want things to be done right.

Correct, Most of us wouldn't have any qualms after the AGM if it were decided we were to play BSN footy next season.

I think that is a very sensible post, arguing and blame calling will have no bearing. As Acton says it is not the fans who bring this situation to a head. Let it lie now till the decisions are made.

These football authorities who will be trusted to sort it all out, not the same ones who deducted us 18 points for fielding a player we signed in good faith from accrington are they?

Justice was done.  We got docked 10 points as per the league rules.  We still survived.
