Mark Harris - New Witton Chairman
« on: May 06, 2008, 02:49:28 PM »

MIKE Worthington has resigned as chairman of Witton Albion.

He announced his decision at a press conference this morning at the club's Wincham Park home.

"My decision has nothing to do with Jim Vince leaving the club," he stressed.

"I leave the club with no regrets and would have handled the past seven days exactly the same if I had my time again."

Mark Harris has taken over as acting chairman while the club continue their search for a new manager.

"That's the number one priority," he said.

"And we need to move quickly - I hope to have something sorted within the next 48 hours."

He refused to say whether his first phone call would be to Vince

Good luck to him..nice guy Mark Harris and I wish him well.

Yes it is...and a nicer guy you really could not wish to meet.....nor one who was dropped so squarely in the $h!t by supposed friends and then abandoned to his fate. Never wanted to be Chairman at Alty and was reportedly very badly advised when he was

Witton Albion will be becoming an increasingly attractive option for some people next season
