Think things have to change

This saga with the conferance agm each season is starting to irritate every member of this division including ourselves as were being made scapegoats for other teams wrong doings, i know that other leagues have the same issues but not at the same ratio as this one, can we now see some new rulings implicated to ensure it does'nt become a complete farce ???

Jacko, of all the comments made today re. the Halifax/Alty issue (on both forums) this is the most accurate. It's a shame that fans on both sides have adopted such polarised views and like you say, as usual we become the scapegoats for other club's problems.

If you look at every league you will find problems, just the conference seems to be highlighted

Leeds - League One
Rotherham - League Two

I'm sure the people on the Carlisle forum will be glad of the decision on Leeds, and im sure they're was some mud slinging between those two.

It isn't the 'fans' fault at the end of the day !

The argument thast we are cheating our survival and becoming scapegoats can easily be countered.

If we had increased our budget by £500k that we didn't have...bought ourselves 60 points and then gone into admin...........would everyone think we had qualified for next years BSP on merit?

sadly the answer from too many people to that question is "yes".  If you get the points on the pitch no-one seems to care how you do it.

When a gold medalist is subsequently banned through cheating (drug use for example) no one ever says to the silver medalist "you cheated your way to the gold, you don't deserve it", instead they get lots of sympathy for having the joy of victory taken away.

When a team cheats its way to extra points by spending money it doesn't have somehow we have cheated our way into the league and don't deserve our place.  What we actually deserve is the chance to watch our team compete on a level playing field and the joy of that point at Weymouth being enough to finish ahead of Farsley and keep us up, instead of this annual nightmare of waiting to see if the cheats get found out this year or next.

at the very least going into administration has to mean relegation, not just in theis league but throughout football.

Exactly, i think we have a problem in that we are being negatively labelled now, to be honest every time this club is mentioned i end up in an arguement over the repreives and thats with local people so god knows what everyone else thinks.
