If they are controlled by a club already in the pyramid would they be allowed in themselves?

Isnt that what morinho wanted to do with chelsea? Play his reserve team in a league as well, because they were 'as good as a championship side at least'

It didnt happen (obviously) but i dont know whether it would be allowed to or not.

You can do it if the lower league allows it. The fact that some of our 'reserves' turned out for the likes of radcliffe and ashton this season suggests you can.

This Season I have encountered Stalybridge Reserves, Witton Reserves, Curzon Ashton Reserves, FCUM Reserves, Trafford FC Reserves and what became Northwich Reserves in the Cheshire League.

Not neccessarily the best standard but with increasing numbers of Reserve Teams from Pyramid Clubs seeming to be entering and the travel not being excessive - why not?

I know that we had a side in the Mid Cheshire League (which the Cheshire League is, just by a different name) and that we withdrew because it was poor BUT it's not so long ago that the League Team (maqde up entirely of one Club side) won the national step 7 inter league competition and represented England in Europe so the standard has improved since then
