As a club, it is better we stay up. As fans and as individuals, we are entitled to crave for local games against traditional rivals. That said, I hope and pray (more appropriate) that we stay up. A complete contradiction I know, but middle ground at least! ;)

Taking Halifax, Farsely and Northwich out of the mix, Weymuff are  1 point behind with 4 games in hand. Not unreasonable to think they'll get no more than 3 points which puts them 2 points infront level games. Who wouldn't fancy going there last game of season needing a win to stay up?

Lots of points at stake between now and then but I'd take that senerio now.

Northwich WILL catch us up. I dream of a scenario leaving us needing a win at Weymouth, but we'll probably both be down by then.

Longman, for me football isn't a my dick's bigger than yours competition. I'd rather be winning at Southport, Hyde, Droylsden, Stalybridge and Telford than losing at Oxford, Exeter and Stevenage. You play at the highest level you can, but Altrincham face being relegated from the Conference for the third year in succession. Doesn't that tell you something?

Thankfully that theory is not shared by many people I know.

The Conference North is a complete abyss.  Its under the radar and a no-mans land.

I reckon its you and Dave Birch who will be pleased to see us there.

IT'S REGIONAL FOOTBALL!!

When people ask you who you support and you say Alty they asay, who do you really support? I say, well ALty, it's a proper football club like York, Stockport, Preston, Cambridge whatever.

I can't say that when we play regional football however. Whoever is happy in the BSN is a f**king idiot frankly.

Look at our average attendances over the last three years compared to the one year we spent in Conf North. That tells you all you need to know about the appeal of Conf North football.

Don't tell me you really want that because that would just be silly!

Maybe not the words I'd use, but certainly the sentiments I agree with
