If your planning on using public transport then metrolink to piccadilly gardens and then the 216, 236 & 237  bus from picc  gardens bus station is the best option,it stops two minutes from the ground, get the bus driver to give you a shout if your unsure where to get off, you can also get the 231-235 services aswell.
