was he unfit because it said nothing about this on the official site...
In matches where we should be challenging for 3 points, we have to play our best team, and if Lane was fit i can't understand why he didnt playwhy didn't he start?

Battersby didnt have the best of games, i think he was at fault for their first goal. hopefully improve with time, because off last nights performance he is our 4th choice rightback.

Battersby may have impressed in training, see no reason why he shouldn't have been given a chance.  If he is rated that highly it would be silly to knock him all the way down based on one performance, it would shatter his confidence.

Yoiu get 10 mins at Alty..if you don't impress you are finished.

Works the other way..Carlos looked useful in his first ten minutes and has lived off it since.

Why would the manager not want to pick his best team? His best team is based on what he sees at training, in phone conversations, discussions with people.

I thought Carlos looked good; troublesome for the defence. He put what should have been a very good cross in, but didn't seem to have looked to see if there was anyone attacking the box - which was a shame.

I get the feeling that GH probably rates him and wants to work on him and improve his delivery.

(Well, didn't GH say he would at one point left to be a postman?)

Carlos came on and did well...but whisper it quietly! Poor Batters looked a bit vulnerable on a couple of occasions, but I'm sure he'll settle. Great touch by Joe for the leveller by the way. Is he finally getting into the right positions?
