Not really many teams i'd class as 'rivals' from out of cheshire.

In the olden days Wigan & maybe Rhyl. More latterly Accrington.

Forest Green and Tamworth have become something of a hotbed for us. Particularly FGR, there's obvious reasons for those two other than we have been in similar league form in recent seasons.

Incidentally in some countries your rivals are anywhere in the country and it goes more on political stance etc. I find that very bizarre. There's nothing like a good local derby. Droylsden class us as a local derby but I wouldnt say the same for them.

Enfield was a good one in the early-mid 80's with
Trophy Finals , semis(revenge) etc & both teams at the top end of the league mostly &
both doing well in the FA cup at that time too.

      been a few over the years enfield,kettering, barnet,mossley.just as a sideline what team would you most like to see alty play apart from the big boys, mine as got to be rochdale?! those of you old enough to remember will know why. >:(

i want to see us play celtic at moss lane becuse they always bring tonnes of thursty supporters (plus a chance to beat a team in green and white  ;))
