sack Phil Taylor with immediate effect

To be sacked one has first to be employed - I'm a volunteer....sorry about that :) :) :)

I would appoint a very experienced commercial manager to relieve the pressure on Barry Pond

Then I would appoint a marketing and PR manager with a huge budget for tram advertising, poster campaigns, radio adverts.

These two could mean that the money stayed untouched for a while

Nail Hit firmly on the head this club needs someone with some PR Savvy to push the club forward.

being serious i would drop the money into a high interest account 15 mil makes £19,903 a week on a 6.9% intrest account. that is the sort of budget that pays for your dobsons your fleetwoods and leave funds for your peytons and your lawtons to build a squad loyalty. i would make all the terraces like the popular sides middle bit. if we start to see success and promotion i would re-locate us. not far but there are a few locations within a 3 mile radius of ML which would work. oh and i'd look into buying the VS, just cause i could!
Why would you give Connett any of your money?
its not to give connet my money its just to be able to re-locate the danebank for sh*ts and giggles might put it by the side of the m56 just near lymm interchange.

I'd put it on top of the popular side. And sray "We've got your Dane Bank" across the back of it.

Reclad the Popular Side and Golf Road end.  Rebuild the Chequers End as a tidy covered terrace.  In the corners put toilet and catering blocks.

Flatten the Main Stand, Family Stand and club shop.  Build a new stand running the length of the pitch, with lounges, conference suites, offices and club shop.

Get a full time, top class Marketing, Lottery and Commercial department set up.  Get a full time community officer in place.

When that is all done, you can worry about the players.  Bank what is left, and use the interest as a transfer fund.

make entry free for as long as the money could cover the loss. it would be worth it to see Moss Lane packed to the rafters. And we might even retain some when it did run out.

I would go to south trafford college and do a cookery course, make sure I was the match day chef and run off with £15,000,000.

And the fact that there's a brook behind the popular side  ???
The current chequeres end when turned 90 degrees would then be installed on a vey wide but short bridge, similar to the one which runs under rochdale town centre, expensive but worth it.

Id sell the remainder of the lease on moss lane for a sh*t load of money, then I would re-locate the club at the now empty silver wings club on clay lane,I would use the already standing social club as the "Altrincham FC Sports & Social Club" with this having training pitches around it,it would be ideal for the many junior sides the club now has,i would have a n astro turf full sized pitch, some decent tennis courts and a number of 5-a-side pitches. Then I would build a new stadium, making the two ends  behind the goals of simliar style to burton albion, complete with areas underneath with bar and cateing facilities at both ends.It would have two 2,500 seater stands  on either side of the pitch, one with hospitality boxes and conference/function facilities underneath it,and the other with a bowling alley, gym for public use complete with squash courts and a sports eduction centre underneath.

There wold be a sizeable car park for matches days and for 7 days a week use by visitors to the other sports facilities on offer, and also a huge well advertised car boot sale on a sunday morning. And if there was any room left I'd put in a cricket pitch and practise nets and form "altrincham cricket club" in direct competition to timperley cricket club. If we could do that, then we truely would be a community club, and the club would be a place a lot of local people spent their leisure and socialising time, even before a football had been kicked.

And it would cost a damn site less than £15 million quid

This is an interesting proposal that has been floating around for a few years, how much do you think the land would be at Clay Lane, who owns it?

British Airways own it,and due to green belt restrictions Im sure it would be a non starter, but what a truely fantastic site it could be for "altrincham" as a town, all under the banner of the towns football club. I often gaze across at timperley cricket club and think you could tuck a nice 7.500 capacity stadium on a little corner of the golf course next to the hockey pitches, and have that as the towns "sports club" and that a trick was missed with that many many years ago.I would be 100% something like that at clay lane which would see club self sustaining for many years, and novelty factor would bring punters across from the timperley pitches and save others the drive to the JJB through the trafford centre traffic and the smell of poo from davyhulme sewage farm on summer evevings. Just need to find about £3 mil to bribe the council, build the ground and pitches and redecorate the huge social club thats already there!

Yeah Timperley cricket would have been ideal for the whole facility and not to far from  the station, town center pubs etc... Think Moss Lane must be worth around £6 mill ? Could be a long term plan for the club to aim for either Clay Lane or Broadheath.... a few years back I wouldnt even entertain the idea of leaving Moss Lane but having seen how tough it is in the conference the last few years if its whats needed to ensure long term future then I would support a move. Those investors that are so shy to invest could be tempted with a deal on Moss Lane and a new site.
