As with all Football teams, no matter what stand you go on there is always a mix of loud and quite fans. You will never get all fans to sing. The ones who do want to sing will know where to go. We took 51 to Stevenage on a Monday night and out sung some 1700 home fans. Out of the 51 there,  only 30 ish hard core who sung, that's not a problem.

The golf road end has a few non singers, it's their perogative. I am proud that when we go away we mostly get a good response from the home fans either in person on the way home or on their forums.

On another Fan interaction thingy, who would like to chip in a buy a large Flag to give Alty some presence? I'd throw in a tenner? Anyone else............

just 2 points rele

we the 51 (just like the 300) were vastly outnumbered but have calved our self into legend because of or vocal efforts (even if the stands acoustics helped a bit...well alot but don't tell stevenage) but i don't look round on a match day and think any less of people who don't sing, they suport the team as much as anyone who pays to get in (you don't need to sing to suport the lads - just showing up is the first step in suporting them) we all care about this club that is what has caused many people to write on here venting there frustration (if they didn't care they wouldn't bother to post anything) just because people aren't as vocal at a match doesn't make them anyless right to there opinion on here. granted i don't agree with every post and there are some posters on here that i have never agreed with but thats the beauty of football. if we all had the same opinions then what would be the point?

and as for the flag i honestly think that large flags in our league just don't look good (unless it's york in which case it's impressive) i have a flag and im seriously worried that if we go down it will look out of place in the BSN and it's only a 12 footer, however a few of us are saving for two more flags of similar size (to be bought when we stay up :D)

all i here from the main stand is booing when the ref and his assistants walk back in not thinking that maybe it's the players and management that have lost us the game.

We are not booing the referee and his assistants.

We are actually booing Phil Taylor as he escorts the officials off the pitch......

Utterly brilliant

Small reality bite for Messrs Cult and Ecky..................................

For the greater part of the time since I took on my alternative responsibilities the job of collecting the match officials has been done by Mrs Allison Lewis whom I feel sure is really flattered that people think that she is me.

Kind Regards

Thank You, (former) ATS.
I wonder how many people actually think I am you?
Does this mean that there will be a change in the response of people when the officials are escorted off by myself, probably not!

young supporters in the carole nash and family stand need to get out of them and in to the golf rd end cheering the lads on. all i here from the main stand is booing when the ref and his assistants walk back in not thinking that maybe it's the players and management that have lost us the game. negativity will get us no where cheering the lads home like me and many others did last night will keep us up well done the boys lets have this.Farsley don't have the players or experiance of a relegation dog fight and thats where we'll stay up.

I'm sorry (and a bit concerned) I have to agree with part of this:

all i here from the main stand is booing when the ref and his assistants walk back in not thinking that maybe it's the players and management that have lost us the game.

The other thing I don't really understand and maybe someone can explain it to me is;

When the fourth Official puts up the board indicating how long THE REFEREE has told him to put up everyone starts giving him a hard time and asking where he's got, for example 5 minutes, from. He hasn't just invented it, all he's doing is advising those in attendance approximately how long will be played to make up for time lost for a variety of reasons

this could be in reference to myself, i was under the impression that the fouth official calculated the time added on and then displayed the board for the benefit of everyone in the ground including the referee, hence why it is also announced.... just what i was under the impression of, and yes i was gobsmacked when the 5 was on the board as im sure 90% in attendance were, i couldn't see where he OR the referee if true had got that time from and yes i directed a couple of 'where the f**k have you got that time from' comments....

Stockportalty,

I apologise profusely for this identity confusion.

Following Phil Taylor's revelation, I attended an appointment at the opticians this morning and have now invested in a pair of state-of-the-art spectacles.

Alas, this purchase has backfired somewhat, as, equipped with my new 20/20 vision, when I got home I was alarmed to discover that the person who I had believed to be my wife was actually Dennis Birch.

As for booing Phil Taylor (which remains one of the great treasures of attending Moss Lane), I will ensure that for all forthcoming home fixtures, I am positioned outside the main entrance at noon in order to jeer at him as he arrives at the ground.

6 substitutions @ 30 seconds each, a couple of lengthy bookings and treatment to Tom Cahill.Easily five mins. It wasn't that he added too much but that most refs don't add enough.

As an ex-member of The London Alty, I would have to disagree with this and I'm sure the current Alty from the big smoke may have something to say on the matter.....or perhaps not.

If someone can tell me where to buy some thermal socks and underwear I will happily stand in the Golf Road end.Until then I will keep my feet and other bits warm in the Carol Nash stand.

Hmmm, this conjures up some very bizarre imagery. Unless you use your member as a drill stick and your seating as the combustible (swivelling violently on the spot) thus creating a small blaze in your pants at which point you adopt a yogic foot warming position, I fail to see how sitting in the main stand keeps you and your bits warm.

I find that sitting on George Heslop's lap does ward off the chill somewhat....

Surely the amount of hot air emanating from the Home bench and from Mr Heathcote's "friends" in the stand is sufficient to warm a medium sized aircraft hangar?

Personally, I find that I get colder sitting down compared to standing when I can at least move around a little. I hate sitting down at football.
