Inspired - someone who knows both Alty and the lower leagues inside out.  Congrats to the board and management.

That was my first thought but unsure of his experience at management until i read the main site.

I wonder how many of the Alty fans remember him from his playing days?

After his experience at Chester and Wigan, I was hoping he would get a job at a league club against whom we'd be drawn in the FA Cup.  And not being funny but isn't he a more experienced manager than GH?

What an absolutely fantastic  servant he was to this club.
Also someone who has done it all in the lower regions of the League - must have a lot of contacts.

Can't help but wonder though if he's been brought in with a view to eventually taking over from GH when he's had enough of the abuse!

very very good player ...would be in my top 11 of the golden years of late seventies / early eighties .....excellent choice of assistant coach and yes he could definitley step up and become the manager (not that i am suggesting it is  a done deal !!!) great move by the board

GB is a man that never occurred to me for GH's No2.

What an absolutely inspired choice.  Congratulatios to the people behind that one.

graham barrow was a classy as well as class player. i remember him stunning the packed anfield crowd by whizzing one over the bar in the first couple of minutes. i hadn't realised he wasn't managing anymore elsewhere.

Given his experience at the lower end of the professional game in management terms this is an amazing appointment given the state of the BSP these days. He'll be right at home with the level of football.

Welcome back GB!

Just realised that this will suit Heathcotes temper as the partnership can now be called 'GBH'.....GET IN!   :o

re barrow as a player
i always felt that he was the one that turned a potentially great group into a great group
kingy was always the one that got the credit but i always felt that barrow was the man
(i know i only ever post about the past)
hopefully a good appointment and its onwards and upwards from here
