Not wishing to blow my own trumpet but is this not what I've been saying for a while.......Whalley and Sedgemore are quality passers but neither is Mick Carmodyesque in their approach.

Their skill does however make them time on the ball and they can both use the ball provided they actually get it to feet rather than watching it fly over their heads Robbie and/or Warren in there with them to do the ball winning etc may just be what is required.

Ballers sums it up in a nutshell. "We don't have the time or resources to wait and see." Bye bye Gareth Whalley.

Well time for my say..  ;D, as  I will do today at the match (not during though)

I think he'll be a good player in a good side but he's not what Altrincham need at the moment.... He doesn' t get the time or protection that he needs and therefore is ineffecdtive (que scoring and setting up 2 goals today.. )

Personally a luxury that we can't afford.

I hate slagging off individual players, but in 20 years of following Alty I have never seen a player who looks less interested. I was watching him closely when he came on v Vics. Three times the ball came to him and he just couldn't wait to get rid of it. Once I swear he actually ran away from it! I don't think Alty need this kind of player.

Is it my imagination, or has Munro gone back to the sort of form he had when we first bought him?

Well munroe was terrible today (paste in date pls). As for whalley, agree 110% with ecky, good player, will do very well with better players. Unfortunately not what we need at the mo. We need a midfield that can get and hold the ball.

Not totally on the ball was he, position wise etc.

He'll be out if Shotton comes back!

You know that if Shotton does come back and this defensive midfielder from Rotherham proves to be as good as is claimed, we could become hard to score against again. Scary aint it?

The defense is where the comeback has to start from

I think Whalley has undoubted class, but he need to take his head out of his backside and realise that he's not playing league football anymore, that you don't get time on the ball at this level and that you will get a kick. The sooner he realises this, understands that he can be the biggest player at this club (on previous career to date) then maybe he'll get himself up for it,and stop trying to be a pre-madonna..

I'm sorry for being a pedant......but this is easily one of my favourite ever misspellings on this forum!
