Did the wrong man resign - POLL
« on: December 27, 2007, 03:02:52 PM »

People seem to think the GH is the right man for the job. Personally I think that he should have resigned and we should have given the job to Dalton Steele.

What makes you think Dalton could do better, surely if he'd have had different ideas he would have mentioned them to Graham? The best solution is to bring a new coaching team in

Dalton wasn't listened to. I think he probably resigned out of frustration!

I dont think GH would listen to anyone if their opinion differs from his. Further more giving the job to the assistent, even if he is talented doesnt always work. look at sven-mclaren and england.

Where are you going to find anyone as dedicated as Graham? The problem is a part time team can't compete at this level. The choice is simple, go full time or drop down a division or two.

There should be another option: Should neither resign?

I am not saying which way I voted, but this is a 4th & realistic option.

If both/either man stayed we might as well pull out of this league now before we have to face any more humiliation.

There were calls for GH to resign after 10 games into the season - maybe he should have done the right thing then rather than watch us slowly get worse each game.

There are no signs we will ever improve under this current regime.

Enough is enough.

I can't see Graham resigning - it won't happen - simple as that.

It will happen, no man will stay in a job if people constantly ask for his resignation, it is not good for the man nor the club.

In reality I will not be singing for his head, the reason being is I dont know if he is the problem or the players, so it would be wrong of me to call it.

Don't know if it's just me or what, but didn't GH bring the players in? If they are not performing then he is at least equally responsible for our demise.

I think the poll is missing an option,  ' No resignations'

Grahem has tried hard to pull together a good team here, its the players who dont want it.
I wonder what hes thinking, hes signed players on there abillity and if there showing no heart, what can he do. We know GH has passion for the club and it must show on the players and dalton would of been trying to get it in them. So my point is what can do at this moment?
1. Pick a team of yougsters that show hear 100% all game?
2. Pick the stongest team and have 3-4 of them put effort in?
Hes in a hard situation here what can he do with the team? what team should he play then with whats curenttly avaliable?

Nevertheless, he has put together a team that is neither good enough, nor wears the shirt with pride. 100% his call I'm afraid.

Spot on.

Nine defeats in 12 home games in the league.

Responsibility.
Accountability.

Both absent at Moss Lane.

GH has had 3 pre seasons to get a squad for conf national. 2 of those have ended in relegation. It is the managers job to bring in players and get them playing the way he wants them too. Too many times over the past few seasons the tactics have been crap, the players have not shown enough commitment. Committed as he may be, GH is not the right man for the job at the moment. He is far better a conf north manager, but doesnt have the tatics to make enough impact in the conf national.

I agree our inability to pay big wages has hindered our sucess in this division, but we still expect our team to show some fight by getting stuck in. I feel if nothing is done soon, then attendances will start to fall as more people become pissed off/frustrated with our performances.
