There are going to be some extremely low attendances there!

Droylsden v Farsley should pack them in on the Saturday before Christmas....

I am glad we are north -  the southern draw is much harder.

Its the haves & the have-nots. The north are the have-nots:   less money -> less success!

I'd be very surprised if Setanta broadcast a northern tie - they show more southern teams cos there are more of them near the top of the league. They get more money & get better!

Plus the fact Setanta probably wouldn't ask their staff to go all the way up north only 3 days before Christmas, so I suspect it will be the Aldershot or Woking games shown live. However, they do expect us to travel to Stafford and you boys to travel to Nuneaton.

Surely it's time clubs in this league took a stand against this stupidity?

Most southern clubs were bound to get a reasonably close game, most northern clubs were bound to get a stupid trip to the midlands.

I wouldn't put that arguement to an Ebbsfleet fan having to go to Exeter. Mainly because he might set one of the 20,000 directors on me!

Geographically we always get shafted in the north, population distribution not really setantas fault. But we do have nice hills!

Organising fixtures 3 days before Christmas is Setanta's fault though isn't it? As well as this rule that you have to put out a strong side.

I am sure you will see my point when 3 or 4 key Alty players get kicked up in the air by some Conference North cloggers and are out injured resulting in a defeat to Northwich on Boxing Day.

That would go down really well round your way I'm sure!

I agree with Cult; I don't think many people will want to go to see a Tinpot Cup* on the Saturday before Christmas. I don't foresee high attendances even though, by having the cup regionalised Setanta have reduced the chances of having huge distances to travel.

*Tinpot Cup unless we win, in which case it will be an excellent and hard fought trophy to win!

I had a bloke once argue to me that Glasgow was Southern.  So you've no chance.

Get a map and draw a line from Gloucestershire(ish) to kings lynn and that is roughly the north south divide. Rushden, Cambridge, Histon are (pretty much) along that line so get stuck into whichever side they are needed. :)
