We should have more to offer to burns than sh*t like droyslden and northwich, his work rate might not be up to much, but I think he is worth another go, as people have said in another thread, a left back is an absolute must this time around.Hoawrd was displaced by danny adams at morecambe,not sure what the script is with him now.

If we could get the above players (one of the two left backs obviously), and a young nippy right winger that can cross a ball, we would have a solid midtable outfit, in my humble opinion.

I think I largely agree with Hughesy, not too sure about Chris Williams though, as I understand it his attitude has been sh*te this season. Also, he may have lost a touch of pace since his serious injury, and isn't quite turning the ConfNat alight as he did the ConfNorth.

Would be great to see Pottsy back but sounds as if the injury needs to clear up.

Danny Caldicott - Ashton / Danny Warner - Droylesden / Andrew Smart - Stalybridge - All very competent left back
Danny Mayman - Hucknall - Right sided midfielder
Gary Ricketts - Hucknall - Centre forward, good finisher, strong

Not sure if all these players are good enough to step up but from what I have seen they are.

Not saying the current squad is not good enoug to stay up but these players may help

Is big ricketts still at hucknall? He might be a decent target man, all though he's probably contracted. I think as supporters we should try and unsettle gareth seddon at Hyde United aswell,a player of his talent shouldnt be pissing around in that pub league.

Vics had a decent left back when they played Exeter on tv - was it Brown? Just remember thinking he was pretty good. Seddon is a very good call, but highly unlikely. My guess is Burns will join in January. I'm sure Danny Adams will come back one day, just not yet.

well it sounded like it (one loud snap just like marcus) and he was helped off but i carn't find any update on the linnets website. i also know a young left back at hyde who might add some continental flair to our defence

No offence mate, but I doubt a lad in Hyde's reserves is going to be any better than Scotty or Payton. We need a player who can slot straight in at Conference level. As was said on Monday a Lane at left back...

twas just a joke mate gerado would at best do well at a mid table unibond side or maybe welsh premier league team. i agree totally about the fact we need a left back the standard of laney but they don't grow on tree's and most of them are tied down on contracts at places that can pay them more than we can

sorry my mistake and that carl osman is leon osman (at everton) brother, speaking of which carlos's brother is a decent left/right back maybe he can convince Shaleum Logan to sign for us and forget this premiership rubbish.
