From the BBC WEbsite: "Alan Shearer has admitted he wants to succeed Steve McClaren as England coach. (Various)"

Will he practice free kicks on Thursday evenings before big cup matches?

All the England manager has to do* is pick the eleven biiggest names (checking they have int clearance for england) and give them a position fitting them somehow in a 4-4-2 formation.

Practicing free kicks would be a big waste of time as they never come off.

*oh and erm hope tinpot nations can do us a favour and help us qualify.

Said he was surprised to be considered after he had already said he would be interested and was considered to work with McLaren when he was appointed - He's a Bovine Defocater!
