Shotton playing on Sat?

With Tinson an injury doubt and Rose released we only have two fit central defenders at the club - Munroe and Shotton.  Would GH have released Rose this week if Shotton was unavailable aswell?

What's the plan when Shotton goes back to Stoke - Munroe and Tinson but who is providing cover?

Sorry to see Rose go, I thought he did well for us last season and personally would have picked him rather than Munroe but I can understand him going if he's not getting a game.

I saw Chris Lane do a decent job at centre back for Southport.

No problem whatsoever in playing Lane at CB in this game, Scott to RB, Peyton at left?

I'd prefer Shotton, but if I was Stoke I would not let him play given his loan only runs to December and Stoke don't enter till January.

Defence before Shotton's arrival:

8 league games
18 goals conceded.

Defence with Shotton:

8 league games
15 goals conceded.

I agree that he looks a decent player but he's not superhuman and we are still conceding far too many 'soft' goals.

At the risk of labouring a point what, or rather who is the common factor at Centre Back between with and without Shotton???
