This Saturday's game at Kendal is massively important. From this point on there should be no more heckling of players or anyone at the club. The FA Cup is really special and we need to be 100% together and focussed on the job in hand. So please, let's see as many supportive messages on here for the lads as possible. the fans want this just as much as the players do. Although our start to the season hasn't been great, time to make amends for that this weekend. Go out there and do the club proud, this Cup is a tradition very close to alty, and its time we had a good run. With this set of players and their talents, we are capable of possibly even a third round tie

I've a message for the team....after 35 years of watching Alty I can pass on a thing or two about winning cup ties...I'd like to pass on the benefit of my years of wisdom and with the following invaluable piece of experience and advice the team can go out with every confidence...so my message...based on all my tactical knowledge of the beautiful game and experience of many similar cup ties where for once the opposition were the underdogs and Alty were the ..erm...overdogs is.......

I'd love to play you in the FA Cup. At your place it may well be on the telly which would be great for both of us.

And we'd dick you 6-0.... Obviously!

Keep it tight for the first 10mins and then build from the back playing the ball around keeping it on the deck and make them chase the ball. Do not get into a long ball game. Be patient and work for each other to create the openings to get us in front. Once in front continue to play the ball around and when the opportunity arises for the wide men to whip in a cross in that area between there defenders and the keeper do so. Forget about the nerves and do what we can be good at when we work hard as a team. It will not be easy on Saturday but if we go with the right attitude and keep it tight at the back we should come through it okay.
