Wanted: three Alty programmes from the FA Cup
« on: October 25, 2007, 04:13:41 PM »

If anyone has a 'spare' copy of any of the following three FA Cup programmes, I would be very interested in hearing from them re. a possible purchase:

(1) Guiseley v Altrincham (12th October 2002);

(2) Lancaster City v Altrincham (27th September 2003);

(3) Hucknall Town v Altrincham (Replay - 19th October 2004).

Bloody Hucknall - I was working in Nottingham in 2004 and planned a trip to India to coincide with Alty not playing in midweek (Boots HQ to Moss Lane and back 160 miles).  So what happens?  We play a match in Nottingham the only time in the 3 years I'm based there and I'm 6000 miles away.  And we threw it away in both games!

That Guiseley defeat cost Bernard Taylor his job, as I recall.

It did indeed and he was subjected to some of the most sickening vitriol on that day.
