Is it Alty or is it a report on Kendal with brief references to Alty?

I think they still train there, due to the pitch having floodlights, hence they are able to use it any time of day. Which is good for Alty because we depend on whether most of the players have finish their day job or not.

Also anyone wanting to watch the FA cup preview on the box this evening, tune into Granda Report from 6pm, however the sport report doesn't start till about 6.15 or so

Its a shame the local tv stations don't feature the smaller teams more.

I totally agree with you there they should feature and promote the non-league teams.  Our problem is that we have got, many teams in the leagues above us for example there must be about 20 teams from the championship downwards not counting the Prem league who are from the Northwest Region. So us non league lads get kicked down to the bottom of the pile, as many people wont give a toss about non-league as their club isnt in that league. However, its not the case for clubs in smaller regions e.g 0xfordshire. Im aware that Oxford get covarage on there games through the local tv, because they are the only major football team down there.

However, if we cant get match highlights on Granda dont you fell that Channel M should give us some covarge as they only need to appeal to the likes of us, Stockport, Man udt, Man City and Droylseden?

Channel M can't show highlights of our league fixtures due to rights issues. That's why they show all our reserve games instead.

As far as I am aware, that isn't true.

It is up to the clubs at this level who can or cannot show their footage because the Setanta deal, like the previous Sky one, is not "exclusive" which means any TV company can approach Altrincham FC and film the game if the club gives permission. I was told by the Conference themselves that last season it was even possible for us to attend and film games that were live on Sky but obviously we didn't because we would get in the way and it would have been bad form professionally.

We show all York City's highlights on York TV and there is nothing to stop Channel M doing the same.
